The village

The village of Sturminster Marshall is off the A350, just north of the junction with the A31. It is 7 miles south of Blandford Forum and 5 miles west of Wimborne.

The river Stour runs through the village and just a short walk away is the National Trust’s White Mill.

Facilities

The Old School has a newly refurbished kitchen, with a large range-style cooker, fridge and double sink. A serving hatch links to the main hall. There are ladies’ and men’s toilets. The main hall can seat 80-100 people, although this number is reduced when tables are in use. Ample tables and chairs are available. There is also a small dais at one end of the hall.

In addition to the main hall there is a smaller room, also with tables and chairs. For the use of music groups we can provide a digital piano.
Nearby walks include the Stour Valley Way and the Wareham Forest Way. And as an added bonus, Barford Ice Cream Farm is just a short drive away!
Accessibility

All parts of the Old School are fully accessible and the main entrance has a ramp. In addition, the main hall is equipped with a hearing loop.
